On October 19th, the Tommy Johnson Blues Festival debuted in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, where blues pioneer Tommy Johnson (1896-1956) lived for many years.

-Jesse Robinson, from Jackson, Mississippi
-Ben Wiley Payton, from Jackson, Mississippi
-Louis "Gearshifter" Youngblood, from Jackson, Mississippi

Tommy Johnson's legacy was celebrated with a gospel event and a reception that featured an unveiling of a new portraits of Tommy Johnson .
